The Memorial

With the co-operation and support of the local villagers and a dedicated group of Australians, a bronze plaque was erected in October 2010 dedicated to the Nieder-Weisel locals who emigrated to Australia for the Gold Rush.  The plaque was cast in Melbourne and designed by Dr. Ross Bastiaan AM . A three day memorial event including church service and dedication was held to dedicate the memorial.

Memorial Location
The plaque is in the adjacent to the Nieder-Weisel Evangelist Church in the village centre of Nieder-Weisel.
